Knee KG… a new way to look at knee pain

Address the cause of your knee pain with the Right Information!

One person out of five currently experiences knee pain or other symptoms due to an injury or pathology such as knee osteoarthritis, patellofemoral syndrome, ACL rupture, or meniscal tear. The Knee Kinesiography with Knee KG is aimed to help gain an understanding of your knee pathology or injury, then work towards functional recovery and a return to normal activity. Designed to be for the Knee what an EKG (electrocardiogram) is for the Heart.

The knee attachment system exoskeleton, designed to eliminate movement artifact of the skin and muscles, is placed on the patient’s lower limb. Using an optical system, 3D knee kinematics is captured during walking on a conventional treadmill at a self-determined comfortable speed, in a dynamic, weight-bearing context. Data are captured in all 3 planes of movement.

Common uses of KneeKG

Osteoarthritic patients to address specific knee deficits seen in OA knees with home exercises or physical therapy.
Persistent knee pain where Knee x-ray and MRIs do not provide a diagnosis.
Knee pain after knee replacement.
Knee pain in young adults with activities and sports.
After ACL or meniscal surgery to make sure all biomechanical deficits have been corrected.

Costs and Insurance Coverage for KneeKG

Most insurances cover the cost of Knee KG. However, some insurance plan coverages with restrictive payment policies may not cover the test.
